No harm no foul.ĮDIT: Just to clarify, Steam downloaded 144MB which prompted MS to download the BETA. I just opted back in and it changed some Steam files again and everything works fine. No reason to go through all those files looking at time stamps.(11+GB if I remember) I was actually expecting the Steam side changes to affect the download process from MS but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm not worried about opting out as it really made no difference on my end. If you really did want to opt out, you should be able to delete the problematic content and the game will grab the older versions. It was this that I figured might be responsible for the mismatch. MS don't provide any way of reverting in game downloads to older versions per se but if your experience is a flat out CTD then they presumably did not opt in and out. Yeah, this is what I was wondering about. Unless you backed up your files first, as you did. Opting in seems to mean you're in until the official update. Steam gets an update but the Azure servers don't seem to care and don't send the requisite files resulting in a CTD halfway through loading. Unless you backed up your files first, as you did.Īnyway, my take on the BETA, at least for me, is that I don't really see any improvements but no degradation either. I tried to roll back but I don't think it's possible. I kind of figured there were other files involved when he still got the error after getting widgets file updated. OP never mentioned if it was working or not. I say this because it might be important to note that the aircraft themselves should work fine. It's the only package that references a dependency to fs-base-ui-widgets. The other is the activities for the Maverick content. One is obvious as it is mentioned in the error. So there is a content mismatch for some reason.Įdit: I'm wondering if the OP opted in and back out of the beta?Īnother edit: Didn't think to put this in at the time but the important folders relating to this are.
